Born and raised in Peru, Dr. Luis Lopez Chau is a fully accredited physician recognized by the Peruvian Medical Association, with extensive experience in clinical trials, drug development, and non-invasive brain stimulation.

Dr. Lopez Chau has worked for nearly 20 years in various drug development companies, holding local and regional positions in areas such as clinical development, drug access, and pharmacovigilance. He has contributed to the development of products in immunology, neurology, psychiatry, inflammation, and oncology. Additionally, he has served as an alternate member of the research ethics committee at the Instituto de Investigación Nutricional.

Currently, Dr. Lopez Chau is a full-time professor of neurophysiology at Universidad Científica del Sur Medical School and an Associate Researcher at the Instituto de Neuroestimulación de Lima. He has studied the traditional use of coca leaves in the Peruvian Andes and is currently researching non-pharmacological treatments for mood disorders. His research focuses on non-invasive brain stimulation and its potential as an adjuvant therapy with psychedelics.
