Dr Clarita Bonamino

PHD

Clarita sleep, dream, and consciousness researcher whose work explores lucid dreaming, sleep, advanced meditation, and altered states of consciousness. She completed her PhD at Queensland University of Technology in Australia, where she studied lucid dreaming in adolescents and its links with sleep, well-being, and motor learning.

She is also an Affiliated Scientist with the Meditation Research Program at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital where she investigates sleep and dreaming in advanced meditators. Her work combines quantitative, qualitative, and interdisciplinary approaches to investigate how altered states interact across sleep and wakefulness, and how they may support health and well-being.

At Onaya Science, Clarita is delighted to bring her expertise to study how ayahuasca shapes dreaming and sleep, and what that means for health and well-being.
