James is a legal and regulatory consultant specialising in helping psychedelic start ups working in the health and wellness industries. With relevant expertise in law, human resource, auditing, governance, accountancy and regulatory pathways.

After a period of working for drug and alcohol services in the UK, James came to notice patterns in the types of substances that people were seeking help to cease using, primarily alcohol, tobacco, opiates, benzos and cocaine. This did not align with his understanding of the dangers of drugs as classified in the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and led to his interest in studying cannabis and psychedelics.

He is currently the Founder of Psilonautica and the Head of Operations for the charity Drug Science, along with several other consultancy roles in both the cannabis and psychedelic space.
