Brandon is a Clinical Psychologist who explores the psychological and neurobiological ways in which psychedelics impact personality and post-traumatic stress. Brandon is a researcher at Imperial College London’s Centre for Psychedelic Research and founder and principal investigator at Axial Therapeutic Research, an organisation that explores the efficacy of emerging alternative treatments for serious mental health disorders. At Imperial College, Brandon examines the effects of psychedelic therapies on immune-functioning, plasticity, personality, and depression. At Axial, Brandon examines the effects of Ibogaine/5-MEO DMT and rapid transcranial magnetic stimulation on post-traumatic stress and TBI symptoms in the special operations forces (SOF) veteran population.
Brandon is an active researcher of ayahuasca in the general and veteran population, and he is delighted to contribute to Onaya’s inspiring mission to study and share the wisdom of ayahuasca. Brandon completed his masters at Wake Forest University, doctorate at University of Georgia, and clinical training at the San Diego VA / UCSD consortium. As a clinician, Brandon has specialization in the treatment of PTSD and complex profiles including substance use, stress, and mood disorders.
